The Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra returns to the Tiffany Concert series! Sunday, April 21 at 4:00 pm at the Calvary United Methodist Church. The concert features members of the Pittsburgh Youth Symphony Orchestra strings performing serenades, chamber music, and solo performances. Don’t miss this opportunity to witness the exceptional talent of these musicians and the next generation of performing artists!
The concert includes PYSO Strings performing the first two movements of Dvorak Serenade for Strings, Op. 22. It will also feature PYSO student chamber groups, the Armoris Quartet and Calliope Quartet, performing works by Borodin, Mendelssohn, and Jessie Montgomery. PYSO’s second and third place winners of our annual Concerto Competition will perform works by Grieg and Dvorak. The concert will also feature select winners of the 2024 Pittsburgh Concert Society Young Artist Auditions.
